Agree on the spirit shown in the T8 matches - people were playing their best and trying to win, but still having fun. 
Also seconding the comment on things like “Design a Card”, “Name a Card” and Marshal badges/other cool items being more important than $, which would shift the feel of things. Fun and a sense of community are the most important things, and these “money can’t buy” prizes are part of that.
