Hard West - X-Com meets Doomtown

Has anybody been playing this? What do you think?

It’s not the first time the Weird West has flirted with video games…

I’d rather throw down with my cards any day, but it’s nice to imagine the possibility of a Doomtown game along the lines of the excellent Shadowrun PC games.

EDIT: Choice quote: “What I’d really like to see is a tabletop game in this setting, because it honestly feels like it might be better suited in that realm.”

Decided to give this a go as I’m a pretty big X-Com fan. I’ve played two of the eight scenarios in the game (so maybe 4 hours logged?) and it’s pretty fun. A little frustrating how slow all of the characters actions are, especially if you’re on a second or third attempt at a mission, but overall it’s a fun game. So far the game’s atmosphere definitely comes across as much darker than Doomtown, but then again I really don’t play with 4th ring and abominations that much :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
