Quick note on the Malison section:
Once successfully cast after choosing an opposing stud dude, for example, that one bonus stud will be there come shooter-choosing time, no matter what else the opponent does the rest of their shootout actions (assuming the dude stays in the shootout, or doesn’t get changed to a draw)
That should be read without the ‘or doesn’t get changed to a draw’ - you’ll get that stud bullet, assuming the dude you targeted was a stud at the time, no matter what else happens to that dudes bullets along the way. You just need to make sure they stay in the shootout to get that bonus.
