Qs on Wendy and her Teethkickers

A couple of questions about Wendy and her favourite footwear :

  1. Xiong “Wendy” Cheng (Exp.1)

Opposing wanted dudes at Wendy’s location have -2 value.Shootout, Boot: Choose an opposing dude. Send them home booted. If they have bounty greater than their grit, discard them.

Since the grit-vs-bounty calculation is in the sentence after the dude has been sent home, does this mean that a Wanted dude will (normally) have escaped the penalty from Wendy’s trait at this point?

  1. Wendy’s Teethkickers

React, Boot: After another player’s dude goes home booted from this location, this dude gets +1 influence until the end of the turn. Unboot this dude.

What precisely is the trigger condition here? I understand that it applies

a) in all situations where the rules or card effects “send a dude home booted” (including, presumably, completing a successful job at the Teethkickers’ location?)

but does it also kick in (pun intended) when

b) a dude boots to move home as a standard Movin’ action, or to join a posse at home?
c) a move-a-dude-without-booting effect (Shadow Walk, Mariel Lewis, Phantasm…) is used on a dude who happens to be booted already?

Rules Team is currently discussing Question 1.

Question 2: yes to all instances of a dude booting to go home and booted already and being sent home.

Response for Question 1:

Correct, the Dude will move first, unless there is a card effect, like from Yagn’s or Scoop Hound, to prevent the movement, and thus no longer have the value penalty.
