Exciting news! There was an announcement today on the Kickstarter about the next expansion after TCaR:
While Pinnacle focuses on production and fulfillment of There Comes a Reckoning, Pine Box Entertainment (the design team) will be hard at work designing and play testing Too Tough To Die, Doomtown: Reloaded’s next expansion!
Too Tough To Die will be bigger than There Comes a Reckoning and expands the story to Tombstone. The plan is to launch it in 2018, and feature a new way for players to jump into the game.
As noted over on the Kickstarter, names for an expansion can change while they’re in development, but I like “Too Tough to Die”. It feels like a nice nod to Doomtown’s playerbase as well as the game itself, as well as being Tombstone itself’s nickname.
Looks like Pine Box will be releasing 2 player stand-alone decks with this next set.

The reference made is to the set including stand alone decks for new players so that the expansion is including both the next set and a stand alone game to introduce it to new players.
What a great idea! I’m looking forward to how these will be presented to and received by the community.
