Junior vs Retribution (Inspired by Ret vs Shield)

This is inspired by the Shield to Faith ruling, so feel free to merge.

Junior

Junior cannot be aced by card abilities.

Retribution

Shootout Miracle X, Boot: Choose an opposing dude. X is that dude’s value. If that dude’s controller reveals a cheating hand this round and you reveal a legal hand, ace that dude. This acing effect cannot be prevented.

Junior appears to be very specific.

Would he survive or still get aced by Retribution?

Does cannot be prevented always trump cannot happen?

If so, would that effectively mean you’d need a second sentence/clause along the lines of “Even by effects that can’t be prevented.” to survive?

Trying to ask as thoroughly as possible to fully close this rabbit hole.

Great follow up!

Per previous ruling, Retribution cannot be prevented, therefore it overrides Junior, who would normally be safe from acing effects, but is not to Retribution because it cannot be prevented.
