Rites of the Smoking Mirror to unboot self?

Just started playing around with the Rites of the Smoking Mirror and wanted to make sure I got it right.

The card has the ability “Noon/Shootout: Discard this card to unboot a dude with a Mystical goods at this location.” Since RotSM is a Mystical goods, if a dude is only carrying RotSM can he discard the map to unboot himself, or is he no longer an eligible candidate because he is now no longer a “dude with a mystical goods”?

The dude is no longer an eligible candidate for the unbooting because they no longer have a mystical goods attached to them.
