We’re off and running with the Servitor Series! After our first two events at conventions held in the UK and US, we have 16 votes in, with 6 votes to corrupt Drew Beauman currently taking the story participation lead! Full Moon Brotherhood and 108 Drunken Masters are our first victorious outfits of the series!
Before we get to this week, to follow up on a previous announcement, the 2018 Doomtown: Reloaded World Championship will take place at FanBoy3 in Manchester on May 5-6 for a weekend of Deadlands! More details on what this means to follow
It has come to my attention that some Kickstarter backers for “There Comes A Reckoning” have not all received the PDF. Pinnacle has been made aware of this and we’re hoping to resolve the issue soon; until then, please contact the tournament organizer regarding obtaining proxies. Please check the events below, as we have a mix of tournaments, casual/learn to play day, and leagues

We had 6 players brave the wind and “Cold” on this Sunday to see which Servitor would win the day. Al;l the participants had to choose a servitor and fight to control the town. We had 2 friends come from out of town, and we had 6 of our 9 matches go to time and be decided by 1 point here or there. We had an amazing time and look forward to the next time to get together and play
First Place: Chan’s Hellstromme favored Morgan -Save Kyle Wagner
Second Place: Tim’s Grimme favored Sloan Hex Deck - Corrupt Maria
Third: Joe’s Stone led 4th ring (!!) - Save Valeria
Fourth: Chris’s Raven led Eagle Wardens - Save Black Elk
Fifth: Jason’s Hellstromme favored Law Dogs - Corrupt Drew
Sixth: Mike’s Stone led Law Dogs - Corrupt Drew
We are looking forward to the next event in December, and cant wait to get together again. Congratulations to the winners and all 4 Servitors were well represented. I can’t wait to do this again.
Glad everyone had a good time, some creative decklists from the even showing up over at https://dtdb.co/.
Also interesting that your post and some comments over at dtdb note many long matches - sounds like a good things and evidence of enjoyable matches now that posses have more staying power and influence?
Most of the draw structures here lean toward flush decks (with Roses alot), and push DMH. We learn alot when we play, but the long game is where most of us plan for. I would prefer to win at time, by one point, than in a 10 min blood bath.
The more we meet other players, the more we see afterwards that they go this direction. It makes for much more enjoyable matches, even when we lose to out of town players.
Thanks - that sounds like a fun environment to play in. I think the expanding card pool has gradually offered more options for those looking to build - Caretaker, Jacqueline Isham and Agent Provocateur provide solid defence.
As you notes, Coming Up Roses is great for this kind of deck and good for the game more broadly. That card gave me a few rude shocks as previously matches against straight flush decks were pretty easy. Good to see a braoder variety of draw structures doing well in the Epitaph series and at Worlds, will monitor this tournament series too.
We had planned for the event on 10/28 at Paper or Plastic to be more of a demo/learn to play night. Still, we had two experienced players who came out to participate in the OP.
We had a self-identified Law Dog who just happened to be piloting a Sloane Desolation Row deck, vs. an Eagle Wardens deck. It was a long, epic battle, as the players fought over every control point. For most of the match, it appeared that the outlaws were going to have it all their own way, winning several early shootouts in a big way. However, thanks to the surprise MVC (Most Valuable Card) “The Evidence”, the Wardens always seemed to be able to remove the outlaws’ bounties, shutting down their main path to control. After a late unopposed Des Row job attempt left many of the Sloaners booted at home, a couple of high-stakes shootouts allowed the Wardens to retake control of two key deeds just before Sundown, ending the game.
We had a vote to save Drew and one to save Maria. Looking forward to the next event on Saturday!
