Alongside Pinebox’s excellent official events, a search for “Doomtown” threw up the event below, sounds like a fun idea (and can be replicated in the fixed distribution era by choosing a few cards randomly). Fun way to create adventures.

“Randomized story line. The specifics of the plot will be determined by cards pulled from a Deadlands: Doomtown CCG booster pack.”

Also several RPG events if people search for “Deadlands”.

Like the sounds of Friday’s “Dead Man’s Hand” story event - alternate format events are usually fun and the prize sounds cool, as does the North American championship prize.

I’ll try to be at most/all of the card game events, just like last year. Look forward to seeing various old and new faces.

Happy to lend out decks as GenCon is looking like being around Kickstarter distribution date.

That reminds me, ‘There Comes A Reckoning’ will be on hand for lending out for events, so no proxies necessary!

Dead Man’s Hand:

Pretty sure that most sources agree on Black Aces & Eights (AS, AC, 8S, 8C), with the “Fifth Card” being Jack of Diamonds (JD) in our current interpretation.

Assuming the above is correct, what are the alternate Fifth Cards?

I’m going to make a separate thread listing all the characters killed and the inspiration for the event. There will be some cosplay and players helping write this story. Something we thought would be a lot of fun for the community and what I’m looking forward to the most this year!

To get things started at least for people who are tinkerin’ with deck ideas, here’s the banned list:

Are the Flying Popescus tournament-legal, then? Should we halve their cost?

The Flying Popescus are legal, but lose their trait. I don’t want to over complicate the event, but the goal is to have fun with it, so we’ll make this change :cowboy_hat_face:

Further follow up: the fiction for the Dead Mans Hand event will take place prior to the end of The Flood. Grimme and any characters who may meet their demise in fiction not yet released are still legal.

Please note the Saturday night Call Out was moved to the Hyatt Recency, same location as the bike rally

Our ticketed events have been assigned to the Hall B: Green tables.

Pending approval, we are adding two more Greenhorn events to take place during DMH and NAC. We are submitting a Deadlands RPG event to take place on Thursday during the first Greenhorn event.

We will be announcing the locations of the 2019 and 2020 main Destination Event during GenCon.
